This sweet couple drove from Grand Rapids to have their engagement session in the warm conservatory. It's a perfect location for this time of year and the blooms are vibrant! I love the tropical vibes and the couple paired it with great outfits.
After we warmed up, we went to my favorite location on the property, the waterfall! It's a beautiful place for a small wedding ceremony and romantic engagement photos. I am so excited to shoot your wedding this summer at Wilderness Wedding Barn! Congratulations Kass + Nick! Sohee and Hyunjay will be married this summer and they wanted to try out the venue before their ceremony. The flowers at Como Park in St. Paul are insanely beautiful right now! I highly suggest that if you like bold colors, you go stroll through the conservatory, too!
We rented the space for 30 minutes (yes, this session was done in 30 minutes!!) and they were so happy and adorable together. These two will be married in a traditional Korean ceremony in June and I am so excited for them! Aren't they the cutest?! X •
When we planned for their engagement session, we wanted to include a waterfall. Upon arriving to the perfect location, we found the entrance to be blocked off and absolutely no access. While it was very disappointing, these two were so sweet and rolled with the punches. Turns out, there was some kind of flood to a building by the waterfall and it's a hazard/landslide concern so nobody has access at this time.
So, we went to plan B and headed over to Taylors Falls where these two giggled and laughed the entire time. These two really enjoy being together and it was so refreshing to see how they feed off each other. All was going well until Monica tossed a little snow in Curtis' direction. Being the sweetheart he is, he took advantage of a little pay back and took the snow toss to a new level! Check out how it turned out below! Spoiler alert... they remain engaged and plan to live happily ever after. X O
Desirae and Brady wanted beautiful indoor photos for their engagement session so we went for the tropics in St. Paul! I will never get sick of shooting in humid beautiful settings, especially in frigid February.
They are getting married at the MN Landscape Arboretum later in 2022 so they wanted a similar setting but a little variety. Como Park Conservatory was the perfect balance. She wore such a pretty maroon dress from Baltic Born and the blue sapphire she rocks is stunning! He wore a classic black button down that complimented her look so well. X O
I love that Gwen and Jake were so open to doing a fun activity on their engagement session! I encourage all of my couples to think about what they love to do together and we turn their session into an actual date!
We met at the Maple Grove Loop, an ice skating rink and they looked so natural together! We got some funny looks at first but they didn't mind and these turned out so adorable! Inside offered a cozy fireplace feel and outside had some amazing lights still up from the holidays!! If you haven't been, check out the Loop - it's a great spot for families and engaged couples! X O
These two are getting married in August at the MN Landscape Arboretum and they wanted their engagement session to be there, as well.
We hit up the cutest spots and incorporated their sweet pup, Willow in some of the shots. Willow LOVED the snow and was a riot to capture. Meg had her amazing sister along to help keep Willow entertained while we focused on just the couple photos. The weather was freezing but their stylish trench coats and winter hats kept them super warm. After the Willow Tree site where they are getting married, we captured some photos near the waterfall and the conservatory. I am obsessed with the conservatory and had to take a bunch of macro shots. It was the perfect location to warm up and get some beautiful ring shots. Congratulations, Meg, Seth, and Willow. I am so excited for you guys!
YOU GUYS! I had an incredible time with Jen and Wade!
There were so many stories and giggles between them. Maybe it was the tasty brews at Goad Ridge Brewing Co. in New London, MN or they just have the perfect relationship! While we were shooting, there was a couple eyeballing us (in a good way) and I thought they were annoyed with us BUT it turns out they were as fond as them as I am because they picked up the tab! What a treat! We then adventured around the town finding a unique crabby boy on a bike mural. We couldn't decide if it was cool or not! While we were shooting, Jen got a little wild with her hands and hit her darling square in the (you know where) - you've got to see the photo (you bet I am sharing it! ha, ha!) Then they saw the cutest little pup hang out the window and Jen's face screamed, "WE NEED A PUPPY!" We finished up the shoot at the most serene little dock area and they got pretty competitive in the water which was the perfect ending to the evening with these sweethearts. I am obsessed with their personalities, her hair, and can not wait for the wedding. They are a match 100%!! enjoy |
